About the game
What you do in a play session
D.E.I.: Divide et Impera is an exploration and survival game set in a frozen, chaotic London where ancient technology collides with the daily struggle for resources. You and three friends take on the role of leaders of four survivor groups, each with a hero and a squad of explorers ready to venture through the alleys and rooftops of ruined buildings. The three-dimensional movement mechanic allows you to climb, descend, and traverse between levels of the setting, while area influence makes possession of resources and domination of territories crucial for gaining advantage in trade with the Pure Caste. Each round, the turn order is determined by stats that change as you gain experience, and the variable player powers add a unique strategic twist to every game. The modular board ensures that no two games are alike, and the action cards you can buy from the black market bring new tactical possibilities. In the end, whoever accumulates the most victory points by completing missions and controlling the most valuable areas earns the Pure Caste’s approval and takes the win. If you enjoy games that blend exploration, area strategy, and a post-apocalyptic setting, D.E.I. offers hours of tension, long‑term decision making, and plenty of team fun.
The game lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, supports 2 to 4 players, and is aimed at players with some board‑game experience, as it involves multiple mechanics and long‑term decisions. Components include detailed miniatures, a 3‑D modular board, and action cards that vary with the campaign. The learning curve is moderate, but the high replayability is driven by variable setup and end‑game bonuses that encourage different strategies each time.
