About the game
What you do in a play session
If you grew up loving old-school JRPGs, Diceborn Heroes is going to feel like home! This cooperative adventure puts you and your friends in control of a party of heroes fighting to protect the lands of Dievalice from encroaching evil. It’s all about teamwork, tactical-dice-rolling, and-of-course-leveling up.
The core gameplay revolves around-dice management and deck building. During combat, you'll roll your dice and assign them to attack-slots to tackle monsters. But it's not just about rolling high; it's about how you use your-hero's unique-abilities and cards to mitigate damage. As you defeat enemies, your heroes gain experience, allowing them to flip their-character cards, learn new skills, and even change classes. It's incredibly satisfying to see your party grow stronger over multiple-sessions.
What truly sets this game apart is its persistent-world feel. The campaign mechanics mean that your successes and failures leave a legacy. Items found in one run might show up in the next, and-even more interestingly-the-enemies you faced can influence the world for the next generation of heroes. It creates a sense of a living, breathing-world. Just a heads-up: the game is quite language-dependent, so make sure you're ready to dive deep into the-text-to master the-mechanics!
