About the game
Prepare to dive into Rivellon with Divinity: Original Sin – The Board Game, an epic adventure that transports you into the universe of the acclaimed video game! In a world where the Divine is dead and the Void approaches, you and up to three friends take on the roles of heroes with dormant powers about to awaken. This narrative journey unfolds through the "Divine Atlas," an interactive book that serves as both map and guide, featuring around 50 unique locations to explore. Every decision matters: where to go, how to react to events, and which paths to follow deeply and permanently shape the story. The game is a legacy experience, where your choices echo from session to session, altering the course of the adventure and its consequences. You can choose from 10 distinct origin stories for your characters, equip them with items and runes, and master 12 skill schools, each with 7 unique powers. The key to victory lies in combat tactics and elemental combinations, recreating the famous interactions of fire, water, electricity, and ice seen in the video game. Lay down oil and set it ablaze, or freeze a wet enemy with ice – the possibilities are vast, but beware, as enemies also know how to use the environment to their advantage! With an estimated 20 hours to complete a main campaign, exploring about 16 locations from the Atlas, each playthrough promises to be unique, with multiple endings and diverging paths. It's a cooperative experience that demands strategy, collaboration, and a good grasp of mechanics to overcome challenges and unravel the mysteries of Rivellon.
