About the game

What you do in a play session

Get your trainer hat on, because the adventure on the mysterious island has officially begun! Dragomino is the magical, super-accessible version of the acclaimed Kingdomino, tailor-made for little explorers (and adults looking for a light, breezy session). The goal is simple yet addictive: you need to build your own landscape map using domino tiles to discover as many baby dragons as possible.

The gameplay flows beautifully. At the start of each round, several domino tiles are revealed, and players take turns drafting them. When you place a tile, if it matches the landscape of an adjacent tile, magic happens: you grab an egg! But watch out—not every egg is a prize. Some hide adorable baby dragons that earn you points, while others might be empty shells. If you find an empty shell, you get to claim the 'Mommy Dragon' figure, which gives you a massive strategic advantage by letting you pick first in the next round.

The game wraps up after seven rounds, and the player with the most baby dragons takes the crown. It is visually stunning, with components that encourage pattern recognition and basic decision-making. If you're looking for something to play with kids aged 5 and up, or just want a high-quality 'filler' between heavier sessions, Dragomino is a winner. It even took home the Kinderspiel des Jahres, which is basically the gold standard for children's games. It's pure, uncomplicated fun wrapped in total cuteness!
