Dragons back in the world of theme parks? That’s exactly what Dragon Parks delivers! As the owner of an archipelago of islands, you must balance the dragons’ appetite with the tourists’ expectations. Each turn you pick a transparent card and place it on one of three islands – it could be a dragon, an egg, or even a sheep. If you cover a dragon that dislikes being hidden, it might snap back and stir up chaos; if you manage to hatch an egg by covering it just right, new visitors arrive. After three turns, the season ends and you tally the visitors: more different dragons visible on each island = more points, plus a bonus for having the season’s trendy dragon. If you don’t have the right number of sheep, you lose visitors equal to the difference. The game ends after three seasons, and the player with the most visitors wins. What makes Dragon Parks special? Transparent cards let you see beneath, creating layering strategies that shift each game. Closed drafting makes every choice critical, as no one knows what others will pick. The pace is quick – 15 to 30 minutes per game – but the blend of draft, layering, and victory points as a resource adds depth without being heavy. If you love light strategy games with a dragon twist and a dash of amusement park fun, this is your next challenge. In short, Dragon Parks mixes fantasy and logic, where the skill of predicting what will happen is as important as placing the right cards at the right time.
