Prepare to enter a fantasy world where dragons, fairies, and knights battle for dominance! In Fairy Tale, you take on the role of a leader who must wisely choose their cards to build a powerful kingdom and, perhaps, thwart the plans of opponents. The game unfolds over four intense rounds, where strategy is paramount. Each round, you receive a handful of cards and must decide which one to keep, passing the rest along in a closed drafting system. This choice is crucial, as each card has a special ability that can turn the game in your favor or against you. After selecting your cards, it's time to play them simultaneously with other players. You'll play three cards and discard two, but beware: the abilities of revealed cards can change the state of other cards, flipping them face-up or face-down, which directly affects your final score. At the end of the four rounds, 12 cards will be laid out before you, and the point tally will determine the ultimate winner. Fairy Tale is a fast-paced game with easy-to-learn rules, yet it offers strategic depth for those who enjoy anticipating opponents' moves and optimizing their hand of cards. It's a great choice for anyone seeking an engaging fantasy experience without dedicating too much time at the table.
