About the game
What you do in a play session
In Drive, a quick and fun card game, players embark on a race to collect as many types of cars as possible. Originally released as Crazy Chicken, with chickens as its theme, the 2005 SimplyFun version, Drive, brought a collectible car theme and expanded the rules for up to four players, reducing the number of rounds from four to three to keep the action dynamic. Each turn, you draw two cards, either from one of the two draw piles or one of the two discard piles (but never both from the same pile!), and then decide whether to discard a card or lay down a set. To lay down a set, you need at least two cards if that type of car hasn't been played yet, or more cards than are already on the table if it has. All cards of the same type that were already on the table are then discarded into a single discard pile. The round ends when one player has six different types of cars, all types of cars are on the table, or only one draw pile remains. Points are earned based on the types of cars you've collected, with rarer cars being worth more points. For example, a car with few cards in the deck might be worth 6 points, while a more common one could be worth 20. After three exciting rounds, the player with the highest total score wins. It's a light game, perfect for those who enjoy set collection and strategic hand management, with a touch of luck in card drawing.
