About the game
What you do in a play session
In Dungeon Bazar, you step into the shoes of a greedy merchant in a fantasy realm, tasked with profiting by selling equipment to heroes. But there's a catch: you and the other merchants have made a deal with the cave dragon! The goal is to keep the beast alive to ensure a steady stream of desperate adventurers (and, of course, cash). Each player has their own board to manage their inventory and offers. Throughout the rounds, you'll reveal equipment cards, trying to attract the heroes who appear with their wish lists and priorities. The heroes, unaware of the conspiracy, will buy from the sellers offering the best price for what they seek, as long as they have enough gold. The twist here is that action selection is simultaneous: everyone chooses what to sell and for how much, and then everything is revealed at once. This creates an interesting dynamic, where you need to anticipate your rivals' moves and the heroes' needs. Managing your hand of equipment cards and deciding the right time to lower prices or hold onto stock is crucial to avoid losses. It's a game that blends auction, hand management, and simultaneous action selection, all wrapped in a fun theme of underground economics with dragons and heroes.
