About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready to expand your evil empire with Dungeon Lords: Festival Season! This expansion supercharges the base game by adding an extra round to each year, bringing the total to five rounds: winter, spring, summer, autumn, and the brand-new Festival Season. This means more time for you to enhance your dungeon, but beware, as adventurers will also have more time to gather a larger and more dangerous party.

Festival Season introduces a host of new elements to make your villainous life even more interesting. New monsters, rooms, and traps are at your disposal to build the perfect defense. On the other side, heroes gain new spells and can count on sneaky bards to encourage their so-called 'heroic' deeds. And don't forget the extra paladins, ready to punish up to two Dungeon Lords per year!

Actions in the city also get a special twist. You might prefer to push your rivals towards evil instead of seeking good, or perhaps make a strategic investment instead of traditional gold digging. Maybe repairing conquered tunnels and rooms is more advantageous than digging new ones. There are eight actions available, but each season introduces an alternate set of spaces that shake up the gameplay, offering intriguing options. Oh, and your Dungeon Lords can now have their own personal pets!

To top it off, this expansion includes the mini-expansion The New Paladins, adding even more challenges and opportunities to dominate the world (or at least your corner of it). If you already enjoy the idea of being a dungeon-building villain, this expansion is a must-have to extend the fun and complexity of the game.
