About the game
What you do in a play session
Grab your headphones, because things are about to get spooky! In echoes: The Dancer, you and your friends aren't just playing a board game; you're diving into an immersive audio mystery. The story unfolds in a haunted Scottish manor, where the ghost of a young girl hides the dark truth behind her death. Your mission is to uncover her secret by listening to the echoes of the past. The real magic happens through a free app that acts as the heart of the investigation: by scanning game components, you'll hear mysterious noises, voices, and sound bites that reveal fragments of the story.
This is a purely deductive and cooperative experience. Your task is to assemble 24 story elements—represented by game boards and cards—into the correct chronological order. The narrative is split into six chapters, and for each one, you must use the audio cues to identify which three objects belong to that specific chapter. If you nail the sequence, the app plays the full chapter with additional hints, but if you stumble, it'll let you know which parts are misplaced. It’s a game of extreme attention to detail, where a faint whisper or a sudden crash might be the clue you need to solve the case. Perfect for fans of murder mysteries who want an experience that transcends visuals by using sound to build a chilling atmosphere of horror and suspense. Just remember: teamwork is vital if you want to solve the mystery and escape the shadows!
