Fire up the warp drives because the galaxy just got a bit more crowded! The 'Seekers' expansion introduces two brand-new civilizations to Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy, each bringing a unique playstyle that shakes up the table dynamics. First, we have the Magellan, true space nomads traveling in colossal worldships. They are obsessed with relics from long-dead civilizations and can synthesize resources from cosmic debris. In-game, this translates to bonuses when gaining Discovery Tiles through technological advancement and the ability to score victory points by using these tiles as ship parts. Plus, their colony ships aren't just for expanding territory—they can also be used to harvest resources.
On the other side, we have the Enlightened of Lyra, who prefer introspection and mental sublimation. They operate through a grid of Shrines that, when connected, form powerful 'Trinities,' allowing for massive technological leaps and strategic bonuses. The Enlightened's colonization process is almost mystical, capable of warping causality to turn the tide of desperate battles. They can even use their colony ships to reroll dice, providing critical control during combat.
It's important to note that these 'Second Dawn' editions aren't just ports of older versions. Both races have received fine-tuning for balance, with adjustments to starting resources and sectors to ensure a fair fight. The Enlightened, in particular, feature a completely overhauled Shrine mechanic to better fit the modern gameplay loop. The box comes fully loaded with miniatures for interceptors, cruisers, dreadnoughts, and starbases, along with player sheets and specific components like the Enlightened's Shrine board. If you've already mastered the base game and are looking for new ways to conquer the galaxy, these two factions add deep layers of strategy and asymmetry.

Do I need the base game to play?
Yes, this is an expansion. You need Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy to use these components.
What's different about these races compared to older versions?
They've been balanced for the Second Dawn edition, with adjustments to starting resources and a completely redesigned Shrine mechanic for the Enlightened.
Are the races very different from each other?
Absolutely! While the Magellan focus on relics and resources, the Enlightened focus on shrine networks and dice manipulation.
Does the expansion make the game more complex?
Slightly, as each race adds specific rules, but it doesn't change the core structure of the game.
What's inside the box?
Ship miniatures (interceptors, cruisers, dreadnoughts), starbases, population cubes, influence discs, and specific player boards.
