About the game

What you do in a play session

Have you ever stopped to think that what makes you happy might make your friend absolutely furious? Emots is the kind of game that tests not just your logic, but your ability to 'ead' the people around you. The concept is brilliantly simple: you need to understand how others interpret the world emotionally. In each round, one player takes on the role of the 'Emotional Player.' They combine Topic and Theme cards to create four different concepts and, most importantly, secretly assign an emotion to each one. The rest of the group has the mission to guess: what feeling is hidden behind that combination?

The real trick here is that you shouldn't try to guess how YOU would feel, but rather try to put yourself in the shoes of the player who chose the emotion. It's an exercise in empathy and social perception that leads to incredible conversations. The game is highly versatile: if you're with friends and want something relaxed, you can play cooperatively, trying to hit a target score based on the chosen difficulty level. On the other hand, if the mood is competitive and you want to see who is the master of human reading, you can play competitively, where each correct guess earns points for the player who performed best. With quick 15 to 20-minute sessions, Emots is perfect for that break between heavy games or to kick off a game night with plenty of interaction and discoveries about your friends' personalities. It's a game that proves communication goes far beyond words.
