Imagine that the sun has decided to 'fry' your planet, and you have only four rounds to evacuate everyone and your factories before everything turns to ash. In Evacuation, the challenge is exactly that: you start with a booming economy, but the twist is that you must dismantle everything to rebuild the infrastructure on a new world. It's a game of logistics and timing where income on the old planet shrinks over time, forcing you to establish yourself quickly on the new destination to avoid falling behind.
Planning is the heart of the game. A crucial detail is that you cannot simply mix resources between the two planets; each world has its own logistics, requiring strict control over what you move and when. Actions are selected from your individual player board, but for those who prefer the expert variant, cards can be used to combine actions and boost efficiency. Each choice has a numerical value that serves not only for the action itself but also to determine end-of-round bonuses and your position on the orbital track.
Victory can be achieved in two ways: either you manage the feat of raising the production of three resources to level 8 and building three stadiums (or virtual reality machines, depending on the version) on the new planet, or the dispute goes to a final point count after the four rounds. It is a dense game with significant weight, mixing the tension of a race against time with the satisfaction of seeing your new colony prosper while the old one vanishes. If you enjoy slightly more complex Euro-style games focused on production and resource management, this is a perfect fit.
