About the game
Ever wondered how brutal nature actually is? In Evolution: New World, you're not just a spectator; you're the architect of your own species. The goal is simple, but the execution is a delightful chaos: survive and dominate the ecosystem. Through random mutations, you add traits to your animal so it can feed, defend itself, or hunt its neighbors. If you're clever and develop beneficial traits, your species thrives and expands its territory. If you slip up and fail to adapt, natural selection is ruthless, and extinction is the only outcome.

This 'New World' version is the evolution of the original game (The Origin of Species), bringing significant improvements. Now, food generation happens via Area cards, making the fight for resources much more dynamic and strategic. Additionally, new animal traits have been introduced, along with the ability to use shelters to hide from hungry predators, adding tactical layers that weren't there before. The illustrations are more vibrant and the descriptions are more polished, making the visual experience stunning.

The game is essentially a 'who eats whom' simulator. You start with a basic creature and, each round, decide whether to invest in sharp teeth to become a predator or camouflage to survive in hiding. It's the kind of game where you plan the perfect strategy, only for someone to create a trait that makes your species obsolete in seconds. It's funny, tense, and educational all at once, as it demonstrates in practice how adaptation is the only real rule of nature. If you enjoy games where player interaction constantly shifts the board state, this is the right choice.
