About the game
What you do in a play session
Hey everyone! Ready for a souped-up evolutionary journey? Evolution: Random Mutations brings back the vibe of "Evolution: The Origin of Species," but with an extra touch of surprise and chaos. Here, you're not just creating species, but adapting them to a world that changes faster than internet memes! It starts with you getting a handful of cards, choosing three to be your initial critters, and keeping the rest as your trump cards. Each round, you decide: create a brand-new animal, boost an existing one, or upgrade it with a special card that can be either a blessing or a curse. After the strategic part, comes the excitement: the climate phase! You and other players throw cubes to define the amount of food available, refugees (yes, they count too!), and parasites that will mess with someone's life. It's time to protect your critters with food and escape parasites, or maybe send them after your opponents! If an animal doesn't eat, defend itself, or gets attacked too much, goodbye! But don't despair, the deck renews, and the fight for survival continues. In the end, whoever has the most resilient and high-scoring species takes the glory. It's a fast-paced game with minimal text and a great test of your adaptability. Perfect for those who enjoy evolution with a dash of luck and plenty of interaction!
