About the game

What you do in a play session

Fabula is a game where imagination rules and creativity is your best weapon. One player becomes the Storyteller, crafting the beginning of a fairy tale (or making it up on the spot!). The other players step into the shoes of characters trying to steal the spotlight — maybe a clumsy gnome, a fearless princess, or even a clever little boy. Each round, the Storyteller throws out a challenge: how should the story continue? Players must grab one of the items in the center of the table (a sword, a spell, a glass slipper...) and improvise a convincing answer. The most persuasive ones earn quills (yep, points become feathers!). After three rounds, the top two face off in the epilogue: each has just 30 seconds to weave their character AND two final items into the story's ending. The Storyteller crowns the winner! Plus, there are two variants: one for veterans where everyone builds the same story together, and a cooperative mode with no competition. Perfect for those who love spinning wild tales and thinking on their feet!
