The Subterfuge expansion adds a fresh layer of intrigue to the already lively Fantastic Factories universe. Instead of merely building and producing, you can now hire contractors who, with a simple click, steal resources, cards, or even the dice your opponents are using. This adds an extra strategic dimension: you decide who to hire, when, and against whom, all while keeping your own factory running. In addition to new blueprints, sabotage mechanics come into play, allowing you to temporarily disable opponents’ factories, block their production, and force them to replan. The blend of hand management, dice rolling, and simultaneous action selection makes this game tense and unpredictable, ideal for those who enjoy direct competition and turning luck to their advantage. If you’ve already enjoyed the base game, Subterfuge offers an additional challenge without changing the essence that makes Fantastic Factories so captivating: smart production coupled with player interaction.
