About the game
What you do in a play session
Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar – Spider Springs adds a new layer of intrigue to the already thrilling island adventure. What happens is that the island is infested with spiders, and they’re not staying quiet: they pop up anywhere, turning exploration into a real test of dexterity and strategy. The expansion opens a new zone, the lava area, where players can use the caves to reach the peninsula and cross the chasm in search of valuable spider eggs. Along the way, there’s a spider launcher that, when triggered, spreads these creatures across the board, creating obstacles and, at the same time, scoring opportunities that can swing the game. Players also have the chance to use the Arachnoclysm action card to send spiders through Vul-Kar, or even escape on a secret submarine. But be careful: each spider that lands on your path costs negative points, so risk management becomes as important as treasure collection. The "Push Your Luck" mechanic forces you to decide whether to keep trying for more eggs or hold back to avoid losing points. In short, the expansion adds more excitement, more dexterity challenges, and a touch of spider terror that will get any Fireball Island fan eager to explore the unknown.
