About the game
If you're already a space explorer in Gaia Project, get ready: The Lost Fleet is here to put your brain into overdrive! This expansion isn't just a little extra fluff for the base game; it's a deep overhaul that changes how you interact with the cosmos. The big highlight is the new Lost Fleet ships, which act as true points of interest on the map. They aren't just for show; exploring these ships unlocks access to new technologies, unique action spaces, and federation tokens that can completely shift the momentum of the game.

Diversity has been cranked up with the introduction of four new factions (Darkanians, Mowyed, Space Giants, and Tinkeroids), each bringing a unique flavor to the table. To complement these new civilizations, we have new planet types—proto-planets and asteroids—that demand fresh colonization strategies. The board also gets new layouts featuring strategic 'holes' and smaller deep-space sector tiles, making every session a brand-new spatial puzzle.

Another crucial shift to keep in mind is the rework of Q.I.C. (Quick Improvement Construction) actions. They are no longer available through standard map actions; instead, you'll need to focus on the ships to access them. Additionally, the expansion introduces new round boosters, new scoring tiles (both round and final), and even some refined faction balancing. For the solo enthusiasts, there's great news: a webapp implementation for the solo mode is available. In short: it's more depth, more options, and even more reasons to keep playing Gaia Project.
