About the game

What you do in a play session

In Gearworks, you step into the shoes of a talented, but somewhat rusty, tinkerer trying to prove their worth in the workshop. After an accident that sidelined you for twelve years, your creations haven't been quite up to par. But the workshop owner is giving you one last chance to show you're still the master of gears. The game throws you into the midst of a mysterious clockwork machine that needs fixing. Your mission is to strategically place your gear cards to be the last one to repair the machine's various components each round. Think of it as something like Sudoku, but with a steampunk twist and a touch of area control. Each time you fix something, you collect parts that can be used to create fantastic contraptions and, of course, accumulate points. But beware, other tinkerers are also vying for the owner's favor and won't hesitate to sabotage your plans. Will you manage to outwit the competition and become the workshop's master tinkerer, or will your efforts be in vain?
