Genial Spezial is an abstract strategy game for 2‑4 players, perfect for those who enjoy light mental challenges. Each player gets 20 colored tiles and a scoring board with four tracks, one per colour. The goal? Keep your lowest colour score as low as possible, because your worst colour determines your final score. On each turn you place a two‑hex tile on an empty space, trying to link two or more towers. When your tile completes a connection you earn points in the colour shown on the tower chips; larger towers grant extra bonuses. Connecting large towers also awards one point in every colour for each large tower in the chain. Bonus spaces on the board push any colour one step forward on the track when covered. After 20 rounds—when everyone has placed all their tiles—the game ends. The player whose weakest colour is the lowest wins. The enclosure and tile‑placement mechanics generate a constant tension: should you extend an existing chain or start a new, potentially higher‑scoring one? Rules are easy (weight 1.9/5), a round lasts about 40 minutes, making it ideal for a casual meetup or a game night finale.
