About the game
What you do in a play session
Ever felt that rush of exploring a place where one wrong step could lead to a ghostly encounter? That's the vibe of Ghosts of the Moor! You play as intrepid explorers navigating a cursed swamp, trying to grab as much loot as possible while dodging the spirits lurking in the mud. It's a race against the environment and your own luck.
The gameplay is snappy and revolves around moving your explorers through a modular-feeling path. As you move, you interact with tiles left on the board. If you leave a space occupied by a tile and no other explorer is there to claim it, you pick it up. This is where the tension lies: is that tile a shiny treasure or a spooky ghost that will penalize your score? You can also use wooden planks to bridge gaps and overcome obstacles, adding a tiny bit of tactical planning to your movement.
Once everyone has escaped the marsh, it's time to tally the loot. You'll score points for collecting sets of treasures and for being one of the first to reach safety. However, those ghosts you picked up? They'll cost you points. It's a quick-paced-experience that balances luck and decision-making, making it a great pick for a filler game. If you enjoy games about collecting sets and navigating unpredictable paths, this-swampy adventure is definitely worth a look!
