About the game
What you do in a play session
Godzilla: Tokyo Clash puts you in the shoes of one of the iconic Kaiju — Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah or Megalon — battling for the title of Japan's most terrifying monster. Each creature comes with its own deck of cards packed with attacks, special abilities and destruction options. You launch trains, tanks and other weapons at opponents, and you can burn cards from their deck, limiting their future choices. As you stomp through Tokyo's streets you earn energy that lets you permanently upgrade your powers, such as increased strength or new abilities. The board is modular, made of 3‑D building pieces that snap onto a hexagonal grid, ensuring a fresh layout each game. Detailed miniatures bring the chaos to life, and advantage tokens provide small strategic bonuses. Victory is achieved by reducing opponents' health to zero or by accumulating hidden victory points that stay secret until the end, adding tension. Hand management is key: deciding when to play a powerful card or hold it for later can swing the battle. The game runs about 45 minutes, supports 2‑4 players, and has a light learning curve, perfect for fans of movie‑themed epic fights without heavy complexity. The mix of miniatures, modular board and distinct decks makes every match a visual and tactical spectacle, ideal for game nights with friends who love giant monsters.
