Get ready for a cute and strategic adventure in Hickory Dickory! In this game, you and your friends take on the roles of teams of charming little mice, each with their own scavenger hunt card. The stage is a giant cuckoo clock, where the minute hand becomes your exploration vehicle. The goal? Collect the right items that appear on the board to complete the rows and columns of your hunt card. It's a race against time and other players to see who can gather the most 'berries' (the game's victory points).
The main mechanic revolves around worker placement, but with a special twist: you have different types of mice, each with their own quirks, and the moving clock hand dictates where you can land. By jumping off the hand, you collect item tiles scattered across the board and can perform extra actions, such as acquiring more resources or manipulating the market. Managing your mice and strategically choosing where and when to land are crucial. The game ends when the clock strikes midnight, and then it's time to show your achievements to Lord Cuckoo. Whoever has completed more objectives on their card and accumulated the most berries claims the glory! Hickory Dickory combines an adorable theme with engaging gameplay, ideal for those who enjoy worker placement with a light and visually appealing theme. Interaction mainly occurs through competing for tiles and action spaces, but without being overly aggressive. It's a game that pleases both with its cute components and its strategic depth.
