About the game

What you do in a play session

Module 5 – Economy expands the High Frontier universe by turning players into investors of aerospace corporations. Each company’s value is tracked on a spreadsheet called the stock market, which shifts as players become customers of those businesses. The more customers you bring to a firm, the more capital it can deploy, raising its share price. If you own the most shares, you become the chairperson and choose between paying dividends to shareholders or reinvesting profits into cheaper services.

Gameplay revolves around buying shares of companies that look promising, watching their performance, and selling at the right moment to free up cash for other opportunities. Because shares can be bought and sold quickly and retain some value even after an economic crash (the "Aqua crash"), holding stock is generally more advantageous than hoarding liquid resources. The module adds a financial‑strategy layer that complements the already dense space‑exploration simulation, forcing players to balance long‑term investments with immediate capital needs.

Supporting 2‑6 players and games ranging from 60 to 300 minutes, the module keeps the 5/5 BGG weight, indicating deep tactics without sacrificing fun. If you love games where economic decisions are as critical as choosing rockets, this expansion will make your space campaign richer and more competitive.
