About the game

What you do in a play session

Ever imagined trying to describe a nostalgic memory using only strange objects placed in someone's palm? In the Palm of Your Hand brings a poetic and sensory connection to your tabletop. One player takes on the role of the 'grandparent,' trying to relive memories from a box of old souvenirs. With their eyes shut, the 'grandchild' player selects two illustrated cards and uses various 3D objects to mimic these memories directly on the grandparent's palm. It’s a unique tactile experience where every touch and movement tells a story.

Don’t think it’s a walk in the park, though! While you’re busy trying to convey the message, the opposing teams are watching closely. They get to add their own cards to the mix, aiming to confuse the grandparent with distractions that might seem plausible but aren't the real deal. Once the mimes are done, the grandparent opens their eyes and must pick the two correct memories out of eight cards on the table. The game shines through its simplicity and the 'aha!' moments—it’s fascinating to see how different people interpret the same object in completely distinct ways.

With a concept that stands out from the crowd, In the Palm of Your Hand is the perfect party game for when you want something fresh, moving away from traditional card games. There are no heavy dice or complex calculations here, just the attempt to connect with others through touch. It’s a quick experience, ideal for larger groups, where laughter and creative frustration go hand in hand. If you enjoy games that explore non-verbal communication and deduction in a playful, sensitive way, this title is a must-try. Get ready for plenty of hilarious confusion and surprising discoveries as the grandparent tries to decipher what, exactly, you were trying to draw on their hand!
