Game Objective
In Inventions: Evolution of Ideas, players take on the role of leaders of societies striving to evolve through technological inventions. The goal is to accumulate Creativity Points (CP) by presenting, inventing, innovating, and sharing ideas that become inventions. The player with the most CP at the end of the game wins, representing the strongest and most advanced society.
Setup
To prepare the game, follow the steps below:
- Place the main board in the center of the table.
- Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding components: Era marker, Influence marker, Score marker, and Turn Order marker.
- Place the Score markers on space 0 of the Creativity Points (CP) track.
- Determine the turn order and position the Turn Order markers on the board.
- Place each player's Era marker on the first four spaces of the Era track.
- Position the Chronos figure on the leftmost space of the Era track.
- Place a Sage figure and a Knowledge piece in each region of the board.
- Organize the Milestone pieces and distribute them in the Public Knowledge, Private, and Eureka areas.
- Separate the Idea/Invention cards by Era and shuffle them, creating stacks for each Era.
- Distribute the Wealth and Progress pieces in the regions as indicated.

Game Flow
The game is divided into 6 Eras, each with a specific number of rounds. Each round consists of:
- Prepare Connected Action Tokens: Each player prepares tokens according to their influence.
- Take Actions: Players perform main actions and optionally connected actions.
- Aspirations Become Progress: Aspiration pieces are converted into Progress pieces.
- Progress: Advance on the Era track and prepare for the next round.

Actions and How to Play
During the game, players can perform various actions to advance their societies. The main actions are:
- Present an Idea: Place an idea card in a region and gain benefits.
- Invent: Transform an idea into an invention, advancing your society's technology.
- Innovate: Enhance an existing invention, bringing new specialists to your society.
- Share an Invention: Share an invention with the world, gaining CP and increasing the population.
- Call Specialists: Bring citizens back home, advancing the economy.
- Gain Influence: Expand your power and influence in a region, gaining CP.
- Travel: Move citizens between regions, expanding culture and learning from sages.
- Eureka: Advance your society to a new era, gaining benefits.
- Send Diplomat: Send a diplomat to learn about new technologies.
- Call Diplomat: Bring a diplomat back home, gaining benefits.

End of Game and Scoring
The game ends after Era 6, where players count their Creativity Points (CP). The player with the most CP wins, representing the most advanced and strong society. Points are earned by presenting, inventing, innovating, and sharing inventions, as well as other benefits throughout the game.
