About the game
Hey there, board game enthusiasts! Ready for a word challenge that will test your team's synergy? In Just One, the goal is simple, but the execution... oh, that's where the fun is! You all play together to help one teammate, the 'active player,' guess a secret word. Sounds easy, right? But here's the twist: each of you, who is not the active player, will write a SINGLE clue on your personal easel. The catch? All IDENTICAL clues are ELIMINATED before the active player even sees them. So, no thinking exactly like your buddy! The idea is to be original, but not so original that no one understands your clue. After duplicate clues are discarded, the remaining ones are revealed to the active player, who then tries to guess. If they get it right, point for the team! If they guess wrong, things get serious: you lose the current card AND one of the cards you've already scored. If they prefer not to risk it and pass, they only lose the current card. The game is a race against the deck, with 13 cards to be guessed. The goal is to get as close to 13 points as possible. It's a game that makes you think outside the box and laugh a lot with the most creative (and bizarre!) clues. Perfect for livening up any gathering and showing who has the sharpest mind in the group.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many players can participate in Just One?
Just One is ideal for groups of 3 to 7 players. It really shines with more people, as more minds generate more clues (and more chances for duplicates!).
What is the average duration of a Just One game?
A game is super quick, perfect to fit into any occasion! It usually takes between 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the group's pace and how much laughter you share.
Is Just One a complex game to learn?
Not at all! Its complexity is super low (BGG weight of 1.0338/5). The rules can be explained in just a few minutes, and the fun starts immediately. It's a total 'pick up and play' game!
What are the main components of the game?
The game comes with word cards, easels for writing clues, dry-erase markers, and a score pad. Everything is very practical for the writing and erasing dynamic.
Who is Just One best suited for?
It's perfect for families, friends, and any group that enjoys party games, deduction, and word games. If you like cooperative games where communication is key (and limited!), you'll love it. Great for breaking the ice or livening up a casual game night.
What happens if the clues are too similar?
That's the big twist of the game! Before the active player sees the clues, all identical clues are revealed and removed. So, if you and your friend thought of the same word, both clues are discarded, and the active player gets less help. Think differently!
Is it possible to play Just One online?
Yes! Just One has digital implementations, including on Board Game Arena, which is great for playing with friends remotely and keeping the fun going.
