About the game
What you do in a play session
You know that architect who can't make up his mind and changes the blueprints at the last minute? That's exactly the vibe of the Keythedral expansion! If you've already mastered the base game and feel that the cathedral's construction has become too predictable, this supplement arrives to shake up your strategy in a very interesting way. The idea is simple yet impactful: new building tiles that completely change the resource demands from the workers.
Now, don't expect things to be easy. The game introduces much more unusual color combinations and requirements than the base game. This means you'll have to scramble to acquire resource mixes that you wouldn't have even considered before. The result? A much more unpredictable and dynamic endgame, where adaptability and quick thinking matter as much as initial planning.
The pack includes 8 new tiles with varied distributions: there are tiles with 6 of specific colors (Brown, Blue, Green, Red, and Black), as well as special tiles featuring Gold, Purple, and White, mixing the requirement of 'Laws' in different quantities. It's the perfect seasoning for those who are already familiar with Richard Breese's dynamics and want to raise the challenge level.
Just a heads-up: don't try to use this in your first game! The extra complexity and the volatility of the outcomes can confuse those who are still learning the basic rules. Save these pieces for when the group is already proficient in resource management and auctions, turning the cathedral's construction into a true medieval architectural chaos.

No! You absolutely need the Keythedral base game to be able to play.
Who is this content intended for?
For those who enjoy city building and auction games and feel that the base game has become too 'easy' or repetitive.
