About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready to spice up your Lacrimosa game with this promo from the 2023 "Support the Dice Tower" Kickstarter! This little gem adds six Salieri cards to your period deck, and trust me, they shake up the card market quite a bit. These cards can either snatch up a valuable spot or give everything a fresh start, sending all available cards back into the deck. Salieri, a contemporary of Mozart, has a curious history with him: some say they were fierce rivals, others that they barely knew each other. Regardless, both left their mark on music. To add these cards, simply shuffle the six Salieri cards and add one to each period deck, along with the Opus and Memory cards. The sixth Salieri card is discarded without looking. When a Salieri card appears on the table, things change: if it's the "Empty Music Stand," each player immediately gains a Story Point, and the card stays put until the maintenance phase. The "Salieri" card itself makes quite a stir: it shuffles all the cards currently visible on the table and sends them back to the bottom of the current period deck, right before the next bonus tile. Then, the row is refilled with new cards. An addition that brings extra flavor and unpredictability for those who already enjoy Lacrimosa!

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Does this expansion significantly change the base game's rules?
No, it only adds six cards to the period deck, with specific effects that impact the card market but do not alter the main structure of Lacrimosa.
How many Salieri cards come in this promo?
There are six Salieri cards in total. One is discarded without being used, and the other five are distributed among the period decks.
Do I need to have played Lacrimosa before to understand this promo?
Absolutely! This expansion is designed for those who already know and play the base game Lacrimosa. It adds elements and doesn't introduce the game itself.
What is the main impact of the Salieri cards in the game?
They can either grant an immediate bonus (Story Points) or 'clear' the market of available cards, forcing a new selection and adding an element of surprise.
Is this promo hard to get?
It was released as part of a specific Kickstarter ('Support the Dice Tower' 2023), so it might be harder to find in regular stores, being more common in secondary markets or at events.
Does the game's complexity increase significantly with this expansion?
The complexity does not increase significantly. The addition of Salieri cards introduces new tactical situations, but the rules themselves are simple and easy to incorporate.
