Gather 'round for Land vs Sea, a game that's part puzzle, part strategic showdown! Here, you can choose to be Land or Sea, and in 3-player games, there's even a Cartographer in the mix. Each player starts with two hexagonal tiles filled with land and sea details, and the mission is to place these tiles one by one to build a map together. The Land players want to complete land areas, while the Sea players focus on finishing the oceans. Each completed section is worth a point, so the competition is fierce to see who completes the most. To spice things up, some tiles give bonus points to whoever completes the area they are in. This means you might even help your opponent complete an area to snag that extra point! There are also some tiles that let you play again or even steal an opponent's tile (but only one, and not the last one!). With double-sided tiles, one always visible and the other hidden, the game offers that thrill of surprise and planning with partial information. To refill your hand, you choose from two face-up tile stacks. The smart move is to think about how to place your tiles to score as much as possible while hindering your opponent. Keep an eye on what others might do and use the special tiles to control the tempo. In the end, whoever has the most points wins. The base game is quite straightforward, great for families. But if you want more challenge, you can unlock new scoring methods, like chaining mountains or corals, building trade routes with caravans and ships, or using strategic waypoint markers. You can play with 2, 3, or 4 players, in teams or in the more complex 3-player mode. It's a game that makes you think and plan, with a touch of luck and a whole lot of fun!
