LENGTH is a card game that looks simple at first glance but hides a strategic depth that will keep you glued to the table. Each game starts with a deck of cards numbered 1 to 9 and the quirky 10/0, with each value appearing ten times, adding variety. Players begin with eight cards in hand, and the goal is straightforward: build groups of cards—either sets of the same number or continuous runs—and match those groups to the score cards displayed on the table. What makes the game unique is the hand‑management mechanic: when you play cards, you must decide whether to play, score, or simply lay them out. After playing, you draw new cards proportional to the number of groups you formed, keeping the pace fast and the tension high. When you score, you discard groups that exactly match the visible score cards—such as six cards in any configuration or two sets of three cards. Each score card has a value, and if you use only sets (without mixing runs), the value doubles, but the number of cards you draw remains the same. The game has clear limits: a hand of up to ten cards and a maximum of four groups on your board. In two‑player games, the count of cards in the deck decides the winner when it runs out; in games of three or more, whoever reaches 10 points first wins. The result is a game that blends the simplicity of a card game with the depth of tactical decision‑making, perfect for those who enjoy quick, clever challenges.
