About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for an even deeper (and perhaps more indigestible) dive into shipwreck desperation with the first expansion for Lifeboat! This little gem adds 10 new cards that bring extra flavor to your fight for survival. The big news is the arrival of Dr. Harter, the seventh character, who comes with his own tricks up his sleeve, including more first aid kits to try and patch up the inevitable and 'love and hate' cards that promise to shake up relationships (or the lack thereof) on the lifeboat. But what really grabs attention, and perhaps causes a bit of a stomach churn, is the introduction of the cannibalism card. Yes, you read that right! Hunger can now drive survivors to extreme measures, adding a layer of tension and moral (or immoral) choices that will test any group's limits. This expansion is for those who already enjoy the base game and want more drama, more characters, and a hint of horror to spice things up. Remember, to play, you MUST have the original Lifeboat. It's an addition that doesn't reinvent the wheel, but makes it more unstable and interesting, especially for those who like darker themes and unexpected twists.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Do I need the base game Lifeboat to play this expansion?
Yes, absolutely! This is an expansion, so the base game Lifeboat is mandatory to use the cards and the new character it brings.
How many players does this expansion support?
The base game Lifeboat is already for 4-7 players, and this expansion adds a seventh character, keeping the player count at 4 to 7.
Does the game's complexity increase significantly with this expansion?
Not much. The expansion adds new cards and a character, but the core rules of the base game remain the same. The complexity is low, just like the original game.
What is the main feature of this expansion?
The main highlight is the introduction of the cannibalism card, which adds a horror element and very difficult moral choices, increasing the drama and tension among the survivors.
Is it worth buying if I already like Lifeboat?
If you enjoy the theme and the survival dynamic with a touch of betrayal and desperation, and want more character options and unexpected situations, then yes, it's worth it to give your games an extra boost.
Is the text on the cards very extensive?
No, the text on the cards is minimal and easy to memorize, which makes the game much smoother, especially if you're not playing with native speakers of the cards' original language.
Does this expansion add many physical components?
The expansion adds about 10 new cards, including the new character and event/item cards. Don't expect a box full of new miniatures or tokens.
