About the game

What you do in a play session

The Lords of Ragnarok: Seas of Aegir expansion introduces the Aegir monument, giving each player four Snekkar ships. These vessels can be positioned in the same spot as the Drakkar and, like the Drakkar, can be moved by splitting movement between the two units. The Aegir replaces Thor or Odin from the base game, while the monster Nagflar replaces Loki as an alternate boss. With 20 Snekkar miniatures, a Nagflar model, and artifact cards, the expansion adds depth to naval combat and area control. Players still use the Area Majority/Influence mechanic, where the majority of pieces determines control of each region, and Area Movement, allowing flexible movement between adjacent areas. The Norse aesthetic remains strong, with detailed miniatures and vibrant graphics evoking Odin, Thor, and Loki. The game lasts about 90 minutes, similar to the base game, but can be slightly longer due to the added strategic layer. If you enjoy ship battles, detailed miniatures, and territory control, this expansion will bring a lot more fun to your table.
