About the game

What you do in a play session

Magnum Sal: Muria is an expansion that takes the already engaging medieval mining game to a new level. With an additional player slot, the game becomes even more competitive, and the introduction of an extra resource – "muria" – changes the extraction dynamic. Now, in addition to deciding where to dig and where to place shafts, players must also collect and deliver salt, demanding even more careful planning. The modular board remains a highlight: each game has a different layout, forcing strategies to adapt. The expansion brings two new buildings that expand production options and two new tools, including the capstan, which won a design contest. Real orders now request muria, adding a tense element: if you fail to deliver the right resource, you can lose valuable points. The "pick‑up and deliver" mechanic remains central, but the addition of muria creates new supply routes and resource combinations. The game still retains the familiar worker placement, but there are now more action spaces and more optimization options. In short, Magnum Sal: Muria offers more variety, more competition, and more strategic opportunities without losing the core essence of the original game. If you love mining, economic, and modular board-building games, this expansion will keep you even more hooked.
