Margraves of Valeria is a strategy and worker placement game set in the fantasy world of Valeria. As a Margrave, you are a military commander tasked with defending the land and building magical Ward Towers. The game combines deck-building, area movement, and worker placement mechanics, offering a rich and decision-filled experience. You and your opponents can command knights to slay monsters or activate locations, gaining influence over four guilds: Worker, Soldier, Shadow, and Holy. As you progress on the influence track, you earn privileges and bonuses that can be decisive for victory. Each card can be used in multiple ways, from specific actions to resources for building your towers. Resource management is crucial, as you have limited storage spaces for tokens. The game also includes an interesting hero tomb mechanic, where knights who die in battle can yield bonuses. With stunning art and a scoring system that rewards strategy and influence, Margraves of Valeria is a must-have addition for fans of fantasy and strategy games.
