Nanga Parbat: Hidden Objectives is the expansion that gives a boost to the classic abstract strategy and exploration game Nanga Parbat. The concept is straightforward: a pack of seven secret objective cards that each player can try to complete while still navigating the peaks and valleys of the board. When the game ends, whoever has finished the most of these objectives earns bonus points, and those points can be decisive in quick 20‑30 minute matches. The Area Movement mechanic remains unchanged: each player moves their team of mountaineers along limited trails, avoiding obstacles and choosing routes that optimize resource collection. Set Collection comes into play when you gather the same equipment pieces, such as ropes or lanterns, which grant advantages for movement or for achieving objectives. The artwork is minimalistic, with a board resembling a mountain map and pieces that look like little mountaineers. The expansion does not alter the core rules, but it adds an extra layer of strategy: you must decide whether to focus on completing a secret objective or to block your opponent. If you enjoy strategy games that require planning and a touch of luck, this expansion will add a nice twist to your mountain game. Additionally, the components are solid, and the card pack has a clean design with illustrations that evoke a mountain atlas. In short, Nanga Parbat: Hidden Objectives is the perfect way to breathe new life into your favorite mountain game without changing its dub essence.
