About the game

What you do in a play session

Navia Dratp is a strategy game blending chess-like depth with collectible miniatures customization. Inspired by shogi (Japanese chess) and featuring an anime theme, each player commands an army of holy warriors and power-harvesting pawns. The twist? You don't deploy all pieces at once—they're summoned mid-game like a card game. Warriors can be promoted (think pawn-to-queen in chess) and even unlock magical abilities like teleportation or resurrection by spending collected power crystals. Unlike traditional chess, there are three win conditions: capturing the opponent's Navia (the 'queen' piece), moving your Navia across the board, or stockpiling crystals for a game-ending blast. With 44 unique miniatures (across base and expansions), each match plays differently based on your summoned warriors.

Quick answers before you buy

5 questions
Do I need expansions to play?

Is it hard to learn if I play chess?
You'll recognize basic movements, but special abilities and crystals completely change strategy. Worth the adjustment!
How long does a match take?
About 30 minutes — much faster than traditional chess thanks to the smaller board and dynamic mechanics.
Do miniatures require assembly/painting?
No, they're ready-to-play. But if you enjoy miniature painting, they make great blank canvases!
Is it kid-friendly?
Ages 10+ if they're into strategy games. Ability icons are intuitive.
