About the game

What you do in a play session

If you thought the ship was creepy enough in the base game, brace yourself: the Voidseeders have arrived to turn space horror into a psychological nightmare! This Nemesis expansion dives deep into your crew's sanity, introducing an alien race that doesn't just want to kill you, but drive you mad first. They communicate through unsettling whispers that can lead your crewmates to destructive acts, and you never know when paranoia will knock on the door.

The Voidseeders manifest through nests scattered across the ship, with a main nest guarded by a fearsome Stalker, a threat that feeds on fear and insanity. Other smaller nests emerge as exploration progresses, and staying near them can result in serious wounds. The 'whispers' mechanic replaces the common noise, requiring rolls that can plunge you into madness, activating insanity cards with various effects, from one-time actions to permanent disabilities.

Combat also changes: while Voidlurkers try to drive you insane and flee, Whisperers defend the main nest, and the Stalker and the Despoiler (a rare and terrifying appearance) bring real physical danger. The event phase gains an extra layer of tension, with the possibility of gaining insanity if nearby enemies overwhelm your mental resistance. This expansion heightens the distrust among players, as insanity can make anyone act unpredictably. Nemesis: Void Seeders is for those who love the drama and tension of Nemesis and want an even greater challenge focused on the mind.
