About the game

What you do in a play session

Get your cauldron ready, because class is in session! You've just been accepted into the prestigious school of the legendary alchemist Nicolas Flamel, and let me tell you, the competition is fierce. Your goal is simple: become the Master's favorite disciple and be the first to complete three parts of the 'Great Work.' But don't think it'll be easy! While you're busy mixing ingredients and perfecting your potions, you'll need to keep a close eye on your cauldron to ensure nothing blows up inside your Athanor—the alchemist's furnace.

This is a fast-paced race where collecting the right ingredients is key. But don't be fooled, being a great alchemist requires more than just a steady hand; it requires a bit of cunning. Your classmates aren't going to make it easy for you, and neither should you! The game provides a whole toolkit of tricks to use against your rivals: you can steal ingredients from those ahead of you, sabotage a classmate's potion, or even try to earn special favors from Nicolas Flamel himself to give your progress a boost.

It's a dynamic, quick, and tense card game. You'll need to balance the precision of your alchemy with the need to play a few 'take that' moves against your opponents to ensure the Philosopher's Stone belongs to you. If you enjoy fast games with magical themes and a dash of chaos caused by your friends, Nicolas Flamel's School is right up your alley. Will you master the art of transmutation before your classmates leave you with an empty cauldron?
