About the game
What you do in a play session
If you ever felt that the terror in Not Alone could be even more unpredictable, get ready: Sanctuary is here to crank up the tension! This expansion isn't just a little extra fluff for the base game; it introduces strategic layers that will make both survivors and the creature break a sweat. The star of the show is the new location: the Sanctuary. Think of it as a refuge that grows more powerful and useful the more players visit it, but there's a catch: it doesn't come for free. The more powerful the Sanctuary becomes, the harder and riskier the effort required to reach it. It's that classic 'is it worth the risk?' dilemma.
But don't think the survivors have it easy just because they have a safe haven. The creature also got a terrifying upgrade! With the new mutation mechanic, the monster can evolve and change its capabilities, making every single game a unique and, quite frankly, much scarier experience. You never truly know what to expect in the next round when the hunter might shift forms or gain new hunting abilities.
The expansion preserves the 'one versus many' essence we all love, but adds a layer of risk management and evolution that makes the gameplay much more dynamic. If you enjoy games where the board feels alive and reacts to your every move, Sanctuary is the upgrade your table has been craving. Just a friendly heads-up: keep an eye on the language, as you might need a little help with translations to catch all the nuances of the new cards and abilities. Ultimately, it's more adrenaline, more strategy, and many more reasons to scream at your friends when the escape plan goes sideways!

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Can I play Sanctuary without the base game?
Not at all! This is an expansion, so you must have the original Not Alone to play.
Does the expansion make the game much harder?
The difficulty spikes slightly due to the creature's mutations, but the Sanctuary provides new tools for survivors. It's a more dynamic balance!
How many players can participate?
The same as the base game: 2 to 7 players, maintaining the one-versus-many dynamic.
Do I need to be fluent in English?
Language dependency is moderate. If you have a translation sheet or translated cards, it works great!
How long does a session last with the expansion?
Playtime remains similar to the base game, typically between 45 and 60 minutes.
