About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for an epic hunt in Nova Aetas Renaissance: Hyperion! This expansion introduces the first Hunt Mission, plunging your heroes into an electrifying mini-campaign in pursuit of the fiery Titan, culminating in a deadly confrontation against Hyperion himself. Hunt Missions are special Boss duels where your heroes will face a lethal opponent whose actions are controlled by specific cards. Each card details the enemy's moves, be it an attack, a movement, or a special ability, and its Action Point cost. To stand any chance of victory, you and your team will need to study and anticipate your prey's attack patterns. The cool part is that these Hunt Missions can be replayed multiple times, and with each victory, you collect new reagents to craft and upgrade your gear. But Hyperion's versatility doesn't stop there! He can also be introduced into Black Rose Wars as a super powerful Asymmetrical Mage. One player can take control of Hyperion, starting with a deck of 6 Unique Spells and building the rest during the game. Hyperion also boasts 3 copies of his Personal Spell and the ability to change form, transforming into his Burning Legion, composed of 3 Myrmidons. Depending on his form, he gains distinct advantages and disadvantages, and can use his 3 new Lodge Rooms to teleport or as a 'Cell' to re-enter the game after being defeated. To top it all off, this set includes 2 new Forgotten Spells, allowing you to summon Hyperion or the Myrmidons in your standard Black Rose Wars games. It's an endless supply of content!
