About the game

What you do in a play session

In Oliver Twist, you step into 19th‑century London as one of the street kids working for the sly Fagin. The goal is simple: steal as many items as possible during day and night and sell them back to Fagin before the police catch you. Each player controls a small gang of street children, each with a set of cards representing the objects they can pilfer. When you enter a location, you choose which items to grab, then must deliver them to a drop‑off point. If you deliver everything without getting caught, you earn points and money you can use to buy more cards for the next round. The game blends “Pick‑up and Deliver” with “Set Collection”: you need to plan which items to collect to complete sets worth more points. The atmosphere stays true to Charles Dickens’ work, with illustrated cards that bring London’s street life to life. The game is quick, with 45‑to‑60‑minute sessions and works well for 2‑4 players. Though not overly complex, it demands attention to detail and a good strategic sense to maximize profit and avoid the police.
