It's 1962 and the Cold War shows no signs of cooling down. A new Soviet bioweapon called Project MEDUSA threatens humanity, and the CIA needs capable people to stop it. The recruits, though, aren't seasoned spies in suits — they're fresh medical graduates. Swallowed by disguises and fake documents, you travel the globe using carefully constructed aliases, jumping between allied, neutral, and Soviet-controlled cities. Your mission? Neutralize enemy agents, secure specific targets, and position other CIA operatives on site to run operations without a hitch. The game unfolds month by month over twelve rounds. Each playthrough introduces new elements — new cards, rules and conditions that reshape everything that follows. Your characters grow: aliases gain contacts, assets and abilities that smooth the path in later rounds. But watch out: things can go wrong, and mistakes pile up. The board changes, the plot branches, and what you did (or failed to do) in the previous round haunts you. The tone is a spy thriller with the tension of Pandemic — except instead of openly fighting a virus, you do it between secret messages and agents who need to quietly disappear. You don't need to have played Season 1 or 2; Season 0 stands on its own. But if you already know the Pandemic Legacy family, you'll recognize the magic: components that are never the same once you crack open the box for the first time.

Do I need to have played Pandemic or Pandemic Legacy before?
No. Season 0 is a standalone prequel — it doesn't require Season 1 or Season 2.
How many players is ideal?
2 to 4 players. The experience feels more tense with fewer people, but 4 is comfortable.
How long is each play session?
About 45 to 60 minutes per round. The full campaign has 12 months, so plan around 6 to 8 sessions.
Do components really change? Like, for real?
Yes. Cards get sealed, marked, discarded or blocked. After the first play, the game is never the same again.
Is the board text in English?
Yes, the board and cards are in English. You'll need translation or at least intermediate English.
Is there a lot of reading before starting?
There's quite a bit of text in the first round — rules and setup require patience. After that it flows better.
