About the game
What you do in a play session
Hey everyone! Brought a new treat for those who already enjoy the Pandoria universe and want to spice up their games: Pandoria: Extra Realms Tableaus! This little gem consists of two bonus tableaus that came with the base game at SPIEL '18. They have a 'B' side with the rules and are meant to add some flair when distributing the extra boards. Just shuffle them with the others and good luck!
To top it off, we have two new factions for you to try: the Nymphs and the Hanbok. The Nymphs, spirits of nature, arrive with a resource-focused approach, starting with a good stock of crystals, gold, and wood. Their special ability grants a bonus in scored regions, either more resources or a glory point, provided the region has at least 4 spaces and you are involved. Meanwhile, the Hanbok, a stylish Korean tiger, comes with a 'capturing' strategy. They start with more wood and fewer crystals, but their unique twist is that when you enclose a region containing opponent's pieces, you 'capture' them into your own reserve, earning points at the end! The opponent can retrieve these pieces, but they have to pay one resource for each. It's an interesting dynamic of control and punishment.
This expansion adds more variety and tactical options, especially if you enjoy team play and resource management. Get ready for new strategies and twists!

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Do I need the base Pandoria game to use this expansion?
Yes, absolutely! Pandoria: Extra Realms Tableaus is an expansion, so you need the base game to play with these new components and factions.
How many players does this expansion support?
The expansion itself doesn't change the base game's player count, which is 2 to 4 players. It adds more options within that range.
Does it significantly increase the game time?
It might increase it slightly, especially during the first few plays as players get used to the new factions and abilities. However, the base playtime of 90-120 minutes should remain consistent.
Are the new factions (Nymphs and Hanbok) very different from each other?
Yes! The Nymphs focus more on optimizing resources and points in large regions, while the Hanbok introduces a 'capturing' mechanic that directly affects opponents' pieces. They offer very distinct strategies.
Is this expansion complex to learn?
If you already know the rules of the base Pandoria game, learning the new factions isn't overly difficult. The game already has a certain depth, and this expansion adds more layers, but in a well-integrated way.
Is it worth it for players who mostly play with 2?
Yes! The new factions and bonus tableaus add variety and new strategies that can be very interesting even in 2-player games, although the team-based dynamic is more prominent with 4 players.
