About the game
Peloponnes: Sacrum Expansion adds a fresh layer of strategy to the beloved Peloponnes board game, where the Greek civilization unfolds on a mosaic of tiles that each player collects to build their empire. The main new feature is the Sacrum mode: instead of focusing solely on gathering resources and building cities, you can choose to sacrifice some of your inhabitants. These sacrifices don’t require food, but they also stop generating income, and in return you earn "secured" victory points that guarantee bonuses at the end of the game. It’s a fascinating trade‑off that forces you to weigh calculated sacrifices against economic growth.

The expansion also brings three new civilizations – the Mycenaeans, the Corinthians, and the Spartans – each with its own action cards and unique bonuses, broadening the strategic diversity. It also adds a new player color – purple – allowing more people to sit at the table at once. The components stay true to the original quality: stone and wood tiles, inhabitant tokens, action cards, and a board addition. Playtime remains around 10–12 minutes per player, keeping the quick pace that defines Peloponnes while offering more tactical options.

For those already familiar with the core game, the expansion offers a way to deepen the experience without overcomplicating the mechanics. If you enjoy fast decisions and exploring multiple victory paths, Sacrum will delight you. However, if you prefer a more "all‑or‑nothing" game without sacrifices, it may not be your cup of tea. In short, Peloponnes: Sacrum Expansion is a light and fun add‑on that expands the Peloponnes universe with strategic sacrifices, new civilizations, and more players.
