Port Royal: Gambler Promo Card is an expansion that introduces the "Player" character to the classic Port Royal game. This special card lets you, during your Discover phase, reveal four cards at once instead of the usual one, granting an extra purchase turn. The catch? You cannot fend off ships or pay taxes while using this boost, and any taxes are resolved in the order the cards appear. After the power is used, the Discover phase ends automatically. The set includes four different character cards and a rule sheet, ready to be slipped into the base deck. Initially handed out as a door prize at German and Austrian events and later featured in Spielbox magazine (issue 1, 2016), the cards reached Brazil as a store item for about R$ 8.90. Remember, this is an expansion, so you need the core Port Royal game to play it. The "Push Your Luck" mechanic gets a stronger flavor, as players can risk revealing more cards to speed up their commodity collection, while the "Open Drafting" aspect lets everyone see the options before picking.
