About the game

What you do in a play session

Prepare for a magical adventure in "Potions"! In this quick and engaging game, you take on the role of a young magic apprentice tasked with saving the city of Mystical from an ancient curse. To do this, you'll need to brew a powerful potion, but time is running out, and the curse advances with every dice roll!

The game is a fantasy-themed "roll and write" where simplicity is key: grab a sheet, a pen, and two dice. Optionally, you can choose a character with unique abilities that might give you an edge in your quests. Dice rolls determine which resources you can gather and which areas on your sheet you mark, all to collect the necessary ingredients for the potion of victory.

But beware! Certain dice combinations activate the "Crypt Track," bringing you dangerously close to defeat. It's a race against time and against luck itself. Will you be able to uncover the potion's secrets, overcome the challenges, and become the hero Mystical desperately needs? "Potions" is perfect for those who enjoy dice games with a strategic twist and a dash of luck, ideal for playing solo or introducing new players to the world of board games.

With a short playtime, between 15 and 25 minutes, and the possibility of playing with up to 99 people (technically!), it's a great choice for any occasion. The roll-and-write mechanic ensures each game is different, while the fantasy theme transports you to a world of magic and mystery. If you like games that challenge you to think fast and manage risks, "Potions" will win you over.
