Princess Jing is a duel of wit and stealth, where each player controls a princess trying to escape a palace full of treacherous mirrors. The board is a rectangular grid, and the princesses move in straight lines, but their positions remain hidden from the opponent until a mirror or ally reveals a hint. Mirrors are strategic pieces: they can reflect the guard’s vision, create escape routes, or, if poorly positioned, turn the princess into a surveillance target. Each turn you decide whether to advance, place an ally, or set a mirror, always trying to keep your location hidden while deciphering the opponent’s route. Victory comes when a princess reaches the palace exit undetected. The game demands spatial reasoning, anticipation of the opponent’s moves, and a lot of patience to wait for the right moment to strike. Though quick—about 15 to 30 minutes—the tension is high, as each mirror can swing the game. If you enjoy bluffing, deduction, and grid‑movement platform games, Princess Jing is a fun and challenging pick. The Asian theme and minimalist aesthetic give it an extra charm, making it stand out on any board‑game table.
