About the game

What you do in a play session

Quadrostack is a two-player abstract strategy game played on a 5x5 grid. The objective is simple, but the tactics… oh, the tactics! Each player takes turns placing and moving their pieces, trying to form a straight line of four pieces of their color, either horizontally or vertically. Diagonal lines? Forget about it, they don't count here!

On your turn, you have two options: either place a brand new piece on an empty space on the board, or move one of your pieces already in play to an adjacent space (horizontally or vertically), stacking it on top of another piece. But be careful: you can't place a new piece and stack in the same turn, okay? Stacks can be up to four pieces high. And the coolest part: only the color of the piece at the top of the stack counts when determining the winning line. The first player to achieve this tactical feat of forming a line of four visible pieces of their color claims victory! Get ready to think a few moves ahead and outsmart your opponent in this quick-witted duel.
